My story
From teacher to entrepreneur
I didn’t set out to run a business. I set out to make my own teaching life a little easier.
The classroom
[Your teaching background: grades, years, where you taught, and the moment you started making your own resources.]
The side hustle
[When you opened your first store, your first sale, what surprised you, and what you got wrong early on.]
Building Madly Learning
That side hustle became Madly Learning, a Canadian curriculum company creating research-informed literacy and math resources for Grades 3–6 teachers. [Add milestones: leaving the classroom, launching your own site, starting the membership, team size.]
Why I do this now
Along the way I realized how many teacher-authors are sitting on valuable businesses without knowing what they’re worth, and how many teachers would love to own one without starting from scratch. This site is where I bring those people together, and where I share everything I’ve learned about running a resource business that lasts.
Things I’m known for
- [Speaking: conferences and presentations you’ve given]
- [Results: a number or milestone you’re proud of]
- [Something personal: Hamilton, Ontario, your family, what you do for fun]
